Ms. Curbelo is the daughter of Cuban refugees, and is fully bilingual in English and Spanish. Her immigration practice includes Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS) Cases for abandoned, neglected and abused children in the U.S., asylum or withholding cases, and a wide variety of other immigration matters in and out of immigration court. In addition, as the mother of a twice-exceptional child, she has first-hand experience negotiating and navigating the special education process. She has represented parents and their children at IEP meetings, due process hearings, and settlement negotiations.
