Happily married for 18 years with two wonderful sons to call my own. I started out my career in the Medical Field and spend 9 years growing and learning. Starting out as a lowly medical records clerk to a Collection Specialist II and personal assistant to the Director of Patient Financial Services, I know what it is like to work hard. A little shy of 10 years I had to leave that future behind to take care of our youngest son who had a few obstacles placed in his path. Being a stay-at-home mother has helped me understand patience and compassion on a whole new level. While I was home with our little boy, I decided to find a new career and found a new passion with law. I graduated well into my thirties, Phi Theta Kappa, with my Associate in Science Degree in Paralegal Studies (Legal Assisting). I began my law career in Family Law and have now begun a new direction in Educational Law. This is something I am passionate about, not only in a career standpoint, but also on a personal level. As a mother of a child with disabilities, I understand the difficulties parents have navigating the school systems and trying to be advocates for their children. If I can help just one child have a brighter future, then that to me would be the best gift anyone can give.
In my spare time, you can find me training in Mixed Martial Arts, spending time with my family on the beach, or enjoying a Disney movie. A perpetual dreamer who will never grow up, I pride myself on being positive and wishful that everyday something will make my life better.
